A wave of happiness washed over the students of Hunar Academy as they were celebrated for their hard work and dedication at the facilitation ceremony at the academy on January 30,2025. Around 30 students proudly received recognition for completing the basic computer and graphic designing course.

The ceremony was graced by Aasif Mujtaba, Founder & Director, Miles2Smile, Sala Uddin, Center Director,   Graphic desigings mentor Mr. Asad and Mr. Atesham, Hunar Academy and Computer studies mentor Mr. Abdul Jabbar. 

Standing at the beautifully decorated stage, IslamUddin, one of the volunteers flagged off the event and invited Aasif Mujtaba to deliver his speech and uplit the motivation of students. 

The hall echoed with a huge round of applause as soon as Aasif Mujtaba took the stage and emphasized the importance of “collaborative, collective, and cohesive efforts” in wading the path to success.

On moving further, Mujtaba talked about the aim behind the incorporation of Hunar academy i.e. “ to bridge the gap between skills and empowerment.”

Hunar Academy offers  free or low-cost, tech-enabled, skill-based courses to its students, along with guidance for competitive exams. This initiative is not just about education but about ensuring that young people acquire the skills they need to thrive in today’s job market. The foundation’s focus on cultivating young leaders and changemakers in their communities has led to the creation of a diverse range of courses designed to provide practical skills and open doors to entrepreneurial opportunities. Through this transformative effort, Miles2Smile is committed to shaping the future of these young individuals and empowering them to make a lasting impact on their communities.

Two years ago, an idea presented on a PowerPoint slide was transformed into Hunar Academy within just six months, Mujtaba Revealed.

He further emphasized that the goal of Hunar Academy is not only to teach children specific skills but also to “prepare them to face the practicalities of the world”.

On completion of the speech, teachers were embraced with gifts to “acknowledge their dedication towards their commitments.”

Happiness engulfed the face of teachers on receiving a token of love and respect.

“It has always been a pleasure to teach the young children who are full of dreams, determination, and aspirations.” said Abdul Jabbar sir with a gift wrapped in a vibrant sheet in his hand.

After a while, the certificate distribution commenced, with pride and satisfaction, Afsha Mobeen, a student of basic computer course, went on the stage to receive the certificate.

“I am happy that I am a part of Hunar academy, first I completed the calligraphy course here and  now holding the certificate of basic computer course makes me content,” said Afsha. 

The most notable moment of the event was when Laaiba, a student of Basic computer skills called Abdul Jabbar sir, took to the stage while receiving her certificate. 

Hunar Academy is dedicated to meeting the needs of students and making improvements to enrich their learning experience. To facilitate this, a feedback form was distributed.

At the conclusion of the event, to enhance excitement and generate a buzz, a box of refreshments was distributed to the students. “I will miss the daily classes,” shared a student while receiving their box of refreshments.
